2. Get an interview
Personalized reviews
These are the four components to any swe application. I've reviewed hundreds, mostly with the same mistakes. We'll automatically review your application bullet by bullet with suggestions based on experience.
- Built a web application using React and AWS.
- Developed a Claude-based application turning a low-adoption content leak alert service into digestible, triaged email reports, reducing review time by 80-100% per alert using AWS Bedrock, SES, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
Explain what you built, explain the problem, quantify the result, and include the technologies you used.
3. Pass the interview
Question banks, learning plans, and resource lists
All commonly asked questions in interviews. I'll give you the resources that I've used and a step-by-step plan on how to learn Leetcode and behavioral interviews, regardless of if you've taken a good DSA class.
Questions?Answers.
Will this guarantee me a job?+
We can’t guarantee a job. But if you do the work—apply consistently, strengthen your written presence, and prepare for interviews—I’d bet on you. I’d be very confident in your ability to get there.
Who is sweintern.dev for?+
College students anywhere in the world looking for software engineering internships. Whether you’re applying for the first time or aiming for a different company, start where you are and work through the areas you need.
Do I need to have taken a DSA class?+
No. The interview guides start with the foundations and show you what to learn and in what order. If you’ve already taken DSA, use the same roadmap to focus your practice and learn to explain your solutions.
Why does applying early matter?+
Some teams review applications as they arrive, and roles can close quickly. A routine of checking new openings and applying promptly helps you avoid missing opportunities. Timing helps, but your experience and preparation still matter.
What makes the reviews different?+
The feedback follows Grant’s recruiting experience and the advice he repeats when reviewing résumés. It focuses on clear writing, specific contributions, project context, and results across your résumé, LinkedIn, GitHub, and personal website.
Should I memorize behavioral answers?+
Use the question bank to prepare your own stories, not someone else’s script. Explain the situation, what you personally did, the result, and what you learned. Practice enough to sound clear while leaving room for follow-up questions.
